A petition seeking a shift of the Ryan International School murder case to somewhere outside Haryana is filed in the Supreme Court by Francis Thomas, an official of the school arraigned as an accused in the case. The petition was presented in front of the chief justice by Senior Advocate KTS Tulsi.
Tulsi told the court that his client is being devoided of the basic right to have a counsel due to the fact that the two Bar Associations have passed resolutions that bars lawyers from representing the accused. He advocated that his client deserves a fair trial which is an essential part of the criminal procedure that comes under Article 21 of the Constitution. He brought it to the notice of the court about the lawyers not being allowed to enter the court premises.
A bench of the justices Dipak Misra, Justices Amitava Roy and AM Khanwilkar agreed to the request for the urgent hearing and will be listing the case on Monday. It is to be noted that a petition is already being heard by the court which was filed by the deceased boy’s father Barun Chandra Thakur.Tagged: Ryan International School murder case Ryan School Murder Case Advocate KTS Tuls Gurugram Murder Case
