Delhi HC Issues Notice To Upload Education Director’s Orders On proposal of enhancement of tuition Fee

A petition had been filed in Delhi High Court asking direction to update the recent notification of the order which was passed by the Directorate of Education regarding the instructions of fee hike which has been submitted by recognised unaided schools, including the last approved fee ramify of the school, in the public domain.

Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Prateek Jalan while hearing the plea have asked the Delhi Government to file a reply as soon as possible.

The petition had been filed by Advocate Khajesh B Jha. According to the petition the parents cannot verify the appropriate fees before paying it to the school as no information regarding bifurcation of fee has been given in public domain and in this way the schools can exploit parents in the name of charging tuition fee only.

The plea also directed to upload orders by Directorate of Education while reviewing the proposal of increasing the fee by the recognized unaided schools as was also stated in by Supreme Court of India in para 27 of the Modern School vs Union of India and also should include all the files and documents as a base for passing such orders.

The Government and the Respondents must upload the latest notifications which have been passed in the official website of Directorate of Education.
