Mr. Kanishk Agarwal accelerated his fulfilling journey from working with eminent Big 4 consultancy firm PricewaterhouseCooper, the experience helped him in building a sound foundation for thediscipline. A non-conformist, he decided to build his own practice from ground up and with all his experience in three distinct branches of law i.e. taxation, criminal and corporate law, he established the now successful ‘CriTaxCorp’. An apt description of CriTaxCorp is that it is a dynamic and multifaceted law firm. The firm addresses an uncharted territory, providing it with a competitive edge over other similar establishments. In addition, the firm’s vision is to make it as a technology evolved law firm and introduce various ideas which are related to law and implemented through technology. A technology enthusiast himself, Kanishk conceived IBAP, an app to facilitate the work of legal practitioners and students alike, which now accounts as having more than two lakh users.

Work profile on subject of Sexual Harassment at Workplace:
A metamorphosis period started in 2012 after the Nirbhaya’s case when the lawyer felt solmenity towards Sexual Harassment at workplace against women, since a very long time he has become a votary to work in saving the dignity and morality of women. Formost step he took was to provide training sessions to companies to sensatize the Internal Committee Members and employees on Prevention of Sexual Harassment, , he is also associated with various companies like manufaturing sector, IT sector, service sectors as an external member of Internal Committees.

Mr. Kanishk has also conducted various trainings (Employee and Internal Committee) for organisations like ICAI, Ministry of Power, CA-Study Circle-Ludhiana and Delhi and various other private and public companies. 

After gaining experience as an external member of various Internal Committees and dealing with court cases on the subject, Mr. Kanishk Agarwal gauged that in the rising era of technology how technology can be leveraged to bigger gorup of people at a cost effective model for the Companies and he ideated a tech solution C4P (Centre for Posh) which is a 360-degree tech solution model acting as an apparatus in resolving all issues related to sexual harassment at workplace

C4P; A Venture by CriTaxCorp:
As this solution is imbibed with a “Content” which is covering almost every possible information and statistics about sexual harassment, starting from what is sexual harassment to what are the penalties of sexual harassment and how can you protect yourself form being sexually harassed; the content made is according to the Sexual Harassment (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 and has been curated to focus on emotional connect; as every information is enveloped in this solution, which will unquestionably help the organisations in sensitizing their employees about sexual harassment as non-sensitization is a big reason of Sexual Harassment at workplace . The app has been ideated after careful study of loopholes in the Act 2013 and practical issues faced by corporates/ government departments at large.

Features of C4P:
This digital solution not only sensitize employees but resolve variety of complex queries asked by employees facing sexual harassment, providing a complaint filling system, along with a SOS system, which would help the employees to collect evidences and send their location to at least three of their family members or close friends at the time of a panicking situation. The application shall help organisations to adhere to the norms of Sexual Harassment Act 2013, by providing a complaint filling system to employees (anonymous and with identity), a backend panel to the HR for receiving sexual harassment complaints and Directors of the organisation to keep a check on employees who are using this application, by providing various templates which shall be helpful in handling sexual harassment complaints within the organisation, The App will certainly aid in decreasing the chances of sexual harassment incidents in organisations. Such dissemination of information will lead to increased awareness about the circumstance which in turn will increase the chances of eliminating sexual harassment from the workplace organically. The app has been cautiously ideated by a tech-savvy lawyer covering all legal aspects; which is a rare combination, consequently C4P is extremely secured and carries no risk and the aspect of addressing fake complaints is also taken care of in the tech model.

Accomplishments:

  • Mr. Kanishk Agarwal has been invited by NHRD twice; first to be on the discussion panel to address queries of HR covering the topic of “Complaint to IC vs. Complaint to police” and second time to take session on “Court cases related to Sexual Harassment at Workplace and how judgements evolve the understanding of the law”.
  • Tech solution Centre 4 POSH has also been awarded by HRDM for “HR innovation through technology”
