BCI proposed dress code for Law Colleges- White shirt & Trousers

Law students all over the country will now have to wear the same kind of dress and in the same color, as decided by the Legal Education Committee of Bar council of India (BCI). According to the recent letter from the board to the educational institutions, a uniform dress code has been suggested. As the standard of dresses by all the law students from different parts of the country is detracting with the passing time and that does not give the impression of the proper dress code, especially for the professional education. That’s the reason why BCI has suggested all the law education institutions to implement it soon.

The committee has left that matter to each college and universities to decide in regard to dress code, what is possible befitting the profession. The committee said it would be good if the institution follows the dress code i.e. white shirt paired with trouser (GREY/BLACK/WHITE). Although some students feel they are being forced to follow a uniform in the named discipline. They said these suggestions are not based on the idea of sorting out the matter and bring out the justice. But according to few faculties, dress code brings equality among the students and enhances the status of all the professional courses.
