Advocates submitting declaration forms by November 30

All the practicing advocates have been directed by Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to submit the declaration forms by November 30. The advocate general and special committee members announced that Bar Council of India created BCI Certificate and Place of Practice (Verification) rules, 2015 in order to scrutinize certificates of all the advocates enrolled in the state bar council as well as verify lawyers who are practicing throughout the country. October 30 was the last date to submit the application. However the Supreme Court of India, through its order on October 20 extended the submission date. It has also been directed that bar council are supposed to send provisional law degree or the convocation certification to concerned universities. Well all the practicing advocates were also asked to submit applications, failing that his/her names would also be included in the defaulting advocates list which certainly means that he/she had no interest or intention to continue the practice.

The names of the non-practicing advocates would also be included in the list and also they would also be not allowed to be a part for the state bar council election. The lawyers who have been enrolled after 2010 July, are supposed to submit declaration form to make sure they have actually passed bar council of India examination.
