International Energy Conference

The abstract deals with energy policy of India is largely defined by the country's expanding energy deficit and increased focus on developing alternative sources of energy, particularly nuclearsolar and wind energy and focuses mainly on the energy revolution in India by using solar energy. The energy can be made use in photo voltaic route which converts solar energy into electricity. The use of solar panels has now become the major source of generating electricity in India. The replacement of coal as an energy source by solar power had helped in mitigating the climate change problems as use of fossil fuels emits obnoxious gases that may lead to acid rain or climate change. Even the Clean Air Act establishes ambient air quality standards which can be made possible only by replacing coals with solar energy. The World Bank is also extending its help towards UJALA program. India’s efforts clearly demonstrate its serious commitment to mitigate climate change and maintain the quality of environment.
