UK court orders Vijay Mallya to  pay 90 m US dollars  as penalty to Singapore aviation company

London/Singapore: In a ruling given by UK High Court, Vijay Mallya ,the ersthwhile owner of now defunct King Fisher Airlines, has been asked to pay claims  to the tune of 90 m $ to Singapore based Aviation company BOC Aviation.The  company had entered into contact for leasing of aircraft with King Fisher airlines.It had supplied 3 aircraft and with it the delivery of the fourth for want of advance payments and other dues thereof.

The defendants in the case are Kingfisher Airlines Ltd and United Breweries (Holdings) Ltd and the claim was brought by BOC Aviation in Singapore and BOC Aviation (Ireland).
