Now Lawyers And Litigants To Receive Copies of Orders & Judgments Through Email

The eCommittee of the Supreme Court of India has taken measures to further facilitate updates of cases, copies of orders and judgments to lawyers and litigants through E-mail.  The court has directed the High Courts to create a database repository of lawyers and litigants to develop a Case Information System.

Backing the above direction of the apex court, High courts have directed all District and Sessions Judges under its jurisdiction to create a database of emails ids of Advocates and litigants before 25th October and make entry of the same in the Case Information System (CIS).

This move will ease sharing of information or copies of judgments among the registered advocates and petitioners. After creation of such databases, they will receive regular updates of their cases through their registered e-mail addresses.
