Delhi High court orders removal of "Vishwavidyalya" nomenclature from Rohini Ashram

Delhi High court orders removal of

New Delhi : The Delhi High court division bench comprising of acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar ordered removal of tag of Vishwavidyalya (University) from the nomenclature of Ashram run by self styled Godman Virerndra Dev Dixit.The court said that it violated the UGC act and therefore the Ashram is prohibited from using it.

The court further stated that CBI needs to do its utmost to trace the accused and present him in the court at the next hearing.

CBI has slapped three cases against the so called Godman.He is accused of illegally confining women and minor girls at his Ashram against their will and sexually exploiting them.
