Delhi HC Issues Notice on Plea to Formulate Policy for E-Registration

In order to facilitate the procedure of registration during COVID 19 pandemic , the Delhi HC has now issued a notice to the Central and Delhi Government in consideration of a plea seeking guidance for the formation of a policy for e-registration of all documents. One of the primary things affecting the business is the registration of the documents regarding registration of property, land , inter-personal records etc, keeping in mind this the petition was filed by D. C. Tuteja, through Advocate Gaurav Bahl.

The Petitioner via the pleas has sought permission from the court to bring forth a new policy of e-registration of documents. The Petitioner claims that the process of e-registration will not just make the registration of several documents effortless but also curb all the corruption involved in the process of physical registration.

The Chief Justice of India and Prateek Jalan J have issued notice to the Central and Delhi Government in this regard and have fixed the next date of hearing to July, 23.
