Delhi HC forming a committee exclusively to provide funds under Advocate Welfare Fund in special cases

Delhi High Court has lately instructed an exclusive formed committee to be comprised for providing funds under the Advocates Welfare Fund only in critical situations.

Additional Solicitor General Mahinder Singh, who happened to be the Chairman of the Bar Council of Delhi and Advocates Ved Prakash Sharma and Surya Prakash Khatri, has been appointed by the committee to look into the matter.

A single Judge Bench comprising Vibhu Bhakra observed that

"By only reading the appeal of the petitioner signifies the poor financial conditions of the petitioner, also indicates there might be some other cases with the identical issues that not yet have been reached to court".

In this condition, it is obligatory to reconsider the verdict passed on 19th November 2015, and modify it to a certain limitation by allowing such intensive cases to be treated immediately.
