CJP initiates Suo Motu proceedings of attacks on the Hindu Temple in Rahim Yar Khan

A Hindu temple in the Bhong village of Rahim Yar Khan in Pakistan was attacked and the Supreme Court of Pakistan has decided to initiate sou motu case on it.

In a press released by the Apex court of Pakistan it was stated that Dr. Ramesh Kumar, MNA and Patron in Chief Pakistan Hindu Council were called on by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Gulzar Ahmed and to analyse the incident of Hindu temple in the Supreme Court Islamabad.

The event took place on August 4th,2021, where a huge number of people destroyed the Hindu temple in Bhong. Later the Sukkur-Multan motorway was also obstructed because a 9-year-old boy of Hindu religion urinated in the local seminary and was granted bail by the lower court.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan has set out extreme concern on the unfortunate occurrence. On August 6th, 2021 the CJP took cognizance of the issue and gave directions to the Chief Secretary Punjab and IGP Punjab to present the reports on the same day and summoned Dr. Ramesh Kumar, MNA and Patron in Chief Pakistan Hindu Council.
