Centre notifies appointment of 4 Additional Judges in Bombay High Court

Pursuant to a Collegium resolution passed last month, the Centre on Monday notified appointment of four judicial officers as additional judges in the Bombay High Court.

With these appointments, the working strength of judges in the Bombay HC will go up by 72, as against a sanctioned strength of 94 judges.

The Four judicial officers who have been made additional judges in the Bombay HC are Shriram Madhusudan Modak, Jamadar Nijamoodddin Jahiroddin, Vinay Gajanan Joshi and Avachat Rajendra Govind.

All the 4 judges have been appointed for a period of two years, with effect from the date they assume their office, in the order of seniority.
