Assange loses appeal in British court

London:Julian Assange, the Wikileaks founder will continue to lead a fugitive's life in  Ecuadorian embassy in UK, as a  British court gave a ruling that arrest warrant against him remain valid.

The ruling was given by Senior District Judge Emma Arbuthnot.The judge said "I find arrest is a proportionate response even though Mr Assange has restricted his own freedom for a number of years."

An Australian by nationality Assange,faces allegations of sexual assault and rape in Sweden and his extradition has been sought.But in 2012, he jumped bail and seeked political asylum in Ecuadorian embassy in UK, where he continues to live since then.

Assange also fears that US govt may seek his extradition for trying him in case related to leak of USA's state secrets in Wikileaks.
