On September 19, 2020, the Delhi High Court restrained Anurag Srivastava from publishing derogatory or defamatory content against the TV Today Network Limited of the India Today Group or its top management or anchors or office-bearers.

The TV Today Network Limited of the India Today Group had lodged a formal complaint against Anurag Srivastava for alleging through three tweets on Twitter on September 6, 2020, that Rhea Chakraborty allegedly gave Rs. 8 crores to news anchor Rajdeep Sardesai and the company to take her interview relating to the allegations against her in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case.

The TV Today Network is an English-Hindi Indian news television network based in India consists of several news channels including Aaj Tak and India today television. 

The complaint filed by TV Today Network Limited claimed the relief of permanent and mandatory injunction against Anurag Srivastava.

The Bench of Justice Mukta Gupta in The Delhi High Court directed that till the next date of hearing Anurag Srivastava is restrained from directly or indirectly publishing or posting any tweet or information through the internet, email or social media or any print or communication media the statement or post which is derogatory or defamatory in its contents to the TV Today Network Limited of the India Today Group or its top management or its anchors or its other office-bearers.

The Court also found that the TV Today Network Limited of the India Today Group has sufficient evidence hence the prima facie case is in its favor.
