Supreme Court questions State of Gujarat as to why certain applications have been rejected

SC: you have to show the grounds on which the 4,000 applications were rejected

Justice Sanjiv Khanna: why didn't you upload the reasons?

Supreme Court notes that in state of Kerala as against 49,000 covid deaths, only 27,000 claims have been received.

SC: Every state has received more applications, why not yours?

SC: We have been informed that those deaths registered with state, payment will be made in a week

Maharashtra informs that 1 lakh 271 people have been paid

SC: This is still less than 50 percent

Adv Rahul Chitnis: Only 2,000 are remaining now. only 1.2 lakh was approved

Adv Bhushan now mentions the   suo motu migrant crisis matter and how this issue needs to be seen in the wake of third wave

CJI (keeps coughing): I will look at it
