The Supreme Court observed that at the juncture of Section 227 Code of Criminal Procedure, the responsibility of the judge is just to sift the evidence to detect if sufficient grounds exist to proceed against the accused. The nature of the documents produced in the court and the evidence served ex facie must disclose suspicious occurrences against the accused to frame charges against him. It is non-essential for the court to involve in the advantages and disadvantages of the matter or evaluating the evidence and possibilities which is the sole purpose of a trial.
