Variation of nomination under section 45ZA of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949


The purpose of this form is served under Section 45ZA of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 and Rule 2(6) of the Banking Companies (Nomination) Rules, 1985 which states nomination in respect of deposits and it states that a variation of the said nomination to be made by the depositor or, as the case may be, all the depositors together, shall be in Form DA 3 and even where a deposit is held by a non-banking financial institution to the credit of one or more persons, the depositor or, as the case may be, all the depositors together may nominate, in the manner prescribed by rules made by the Central Government under section 45ZA of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 where the nominee is a minor, it shall be lawful for the depositor making the nomination to appoint, in the manner prescribed by rules made by the Central Government under section 45ZA of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, any person to receive the amount of deposit in the event of his death during the minority of the nominee.
