Relating To Monopolistic Trade Practices

The document is a format for register which shall be maintained by Director General in relation to the investigation or inquiry conducted by the commission for monopolistic practices. Director General is appointed to accomplish the objective of prevention of concentration of economic power, provide for control of monopolies, and most importantly to protect consumer interest. Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Rules, 1970, lay down the procedural requirement under Rule 11A for Director General to maintain a separate register for an investigation or inquiry conducted by the commission for monopolistic practices in prescribed format of Form XI-A. Such format is prescribed to record the whole activity of the Director General and to maintain a record to embrace the law with further amendments, weeding out the possible shortcomings of the act.
