Register Of Deduction For Damage Or Loss

This document is a format to the deduction for damages of the loss caused to the contractor by neglect or the default of the inter-state migrant workmen under the Rule 52(2)(c) of Inter-State Migrant Workmen. (Regulation of Employment And. Conditions Of Service) Central Rules, 1980 read along with Contract Labour (Regulation & abolition) Central Rules, 1971 and Payment of Wages Act, 1936. All deduction imposed shall be recorded in the register maintained in Form XIX by the person responsible for payment of wages, preserving the record for 3 calendar year. The register must be kept at the work spot and maintained up to date and where no deduction has been imposed from any employee in a wage period, A ‘nil’ entry is made across the body of the relevant register at the end of the wage period. Any of such deduction shall not be made without intimating the person explaining him personally and also in writing the actor omission of the damages or loss and reasonable chance to offer any explanation in presence of another workman.
