Medical Standard Of Fitness For Persons Employed


This document lays down the required standards for the medical examination conducted by the employer under the services of Medical Board examining authority for appellant person who is already employed in the mines and has appealed for re-examination under Rule 29J of Mines Rules, 1955. According to Form P prescribed under Rule 29L of Mines Rules, 1955, the employed appellant person shall be examined on various grounds such as skeletal nervous system, skin, eye vision, hearing ability, respiratory system, circulatory system and hydrocele. If any of the employees or appellant employee fails to pass the prescribed standards of Form ‘P’, then the employee shall not be continued to be employed in mines or any other categories of mines after the expiry of 30 days from the date of his medical examination.
