Form Of Ordinary Passport Form P-3 (A)


This document deals with the form of an ordinary passport required by the citizens of India to travel abroad freely without any hindrance which is issued in the name of the President of the Republic of India. Ordinary passport has dark blue cover which is issued to ordinary citizens for ordinary travel like vacations, study abroad or business purposes. The national status with description of the bearer and the details of his children with the photograph of the bearer is to be inserted in the form. The purpose of this form is secured under Section 11 of the Passport Rules, 1980 which states that a passport document should be in appropriate form set out in Part III of Schedule III. The exception to this rule is that the form of ordinary passport shall be specified in Form P-3(A) of Part III of Schedule III.
