Form Of Oath Of Secrecy For A Member Of The Council Of Ministers Of A Union Territory


The purpose of the Form IV is served under Article 12(3) of the Constitution of India, 1949 which states the rights in respect of CAG which is to be governed in accordance with provisions of the constitution or Auditor General of India and this Section also deals with Forms of Oaths or Affirmations which means form of oath of office for a Minister for the Union that is the minister shall bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established, and that he will uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India and he will faithfully and conscientiously discharge his duties as a Minister for the Union and that he will do right to all manner of people in accordance with the Constitution and the law, without fear or favor, affection or ill will. In simple words, this form deals with the oath that a person while before becoming or joining the office of minister shall take in accordance with the Constitution and benefit of the nation.
