Deed Of Exchange


This document is format for Deed of Exchange between the two parties mutually as per Section 118 of Transfer of Property Act, 1882. The Deed of Exchange can be used not only to transfer the immovable property but to other kinds of property too, the only condition is that the property shall be distinguishable identifiable. The transfer is not for any price but for something else in lieu. Commonly the value of properties in exchange is proportionately equal. Such Deed of Exchange shall be registered with the jurisdictional sub Registrar’s office after paying the requisite stamp duty. The detailed list of properties shall be entered correctly and the deed should be signed by two witnesses.
