Intellectuals welcome Supreme Court Verdict  on Adhar Card Data Usage

The historic  verdict of the Supreme Court of India on the usage of Adhar card details by different agencies including government agencies has been welcomed by the intellectuals of the country. While some intellectuals have said that the verdict would now prevent private firms and other individuals from insisting upon the Adhar card details of the individuals of the country, some opined that the verdict would help the citizens of this country to protect their fundamental right of freedom “ its historic path breaking Verdict in the history of the country. The declaration of section 57 of the Adhar card Act as unconstitutional by the apex court would put a fullstop to the ongoing harassment of individuals  by the private and government  firms especially banks, insurance companies and telecom operators. I welcome the decision from the bottom of my heart,”prominent entrepreneur and educationist Mohammad Mustaq Ali said. He also said that allowing government agencies including Income Tax department to prevent the misuse and public money and prevent tax evasions by the countrymen. “ siphoning Of government funds and benefits by submitting fake names and Tax evasionn have been burning issues that the country has been facing since independence. The verdict of the Supreme Court to allow the different government departments to gather the details of the Adhar card of the beneficiaries of welfare schemes and tax payers   would help the governments to save the public money. The central government has already saved a staggering Rs.90,000 crore by linking the Adhar card details of the beneficiaries of their different schemes,” he noted. On the other hand, India’s number Astro-Gemologist Dr. MM Raza, who has received several doctorates from different universities of the world, has also welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court. He said that the people of the country will now heave a sigh of relief thanks for the verdict. “ I welcome the decision. It has been an order of the day for the telecom operators, mobile wallet operators  and banks to bombard their customers with messages of warnings that their accounts would be either deactivated or closed if they did not link their Adhar card details with their respective accounts. However, the people of this country will now be releived following the verdict,” he said. Raza is also the co-founder of Raasik Gems, which has branches in almost all the metropolitan cities of the country. While delivering its judgment, the SC has struck off section 57 of the fact that allowed government and private agencies to forcefully gather the details of the Adhar card of the countymen.
