TCS bags 5G deal from Three UK telco

The partnership between the two companies will see TCS configuring the core network for new site deployments, site upgrades, and optimization of 3G and 4G technologies.

NEW DELHI: Global IT services, consulting, and enterprise solutions provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Monday said it has bagged a 5G deal from Three UK telco.

Three is in the process of deploying a new 5G radio access network which has been made live in 175 towns and cities in the UK, across more than 1,000 sites.

The partnership between the two companies will see TCS configuring the core network for new site deployments, site upgrades, and optimization of 3G and 4G technologies.

TCS said its software will speed-up the configuration and reduce manual errors, enabling first-time correct configuration.

“These improvements will help Three deliver faster, secure, and more reliable 5G services to its customers,” the enterprise services provider said.
