NI: Four new appointments for BLM in Belfast

BLM’s Belfast Office has ushered in the New Year with four hires: Alanna Meeke, Klaudia Liberek, Laura Connor and Sara Brady.

Solicitor Ms Meeke said: “After qualifying as a solicitor in 2017, I spent my first three years specialising in plaintiff litigation dealing mainly in the areas of industrial disease claims, road traffic accidents, public liability and employers’ liability claims together with clinical negligence claims. I am delighted to join BLM’s expanding team and delve into all aspects of defence litigation, with an emphasis on industrial disease Claims.

“Outside of work, I spend my spare time running and cycling and I recently completed the virtual Dublin marathon.”

Ms Liberek commented: “I originally moved to Northern Ireland from Poland about 15 years ago. I graduated from University of Ulster with a law degree back in 2018, and I am currently enrolled part-time to complete my master’s degree this year. I have previously worked in conveyancing.

“I am delighted to join BLM as a paralegal to assist the ever-growing team, with a particular emphasis on disease and hearing loss.”

Ms Connor said: “I qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and have over five years’ experience in employer’s liability, public liability and commercial actions. I have specialist experience in motor cases, in particular credit hire and fraud. I am delighted to have joined BLM’s Belfast office as part of their growing team, with a particular emphasis on motor and fraud work. I am looking forward to working alongside industry specialists.”

Ms Brady added: “I studied law at Queens University Belfast and graduated with a 2:1 in 2017. I then worked at an international business services company for a year before starting the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. I trained as a solicitor at a general practice law firm and gained valuable experience in plaintiff litigation. I qualified as a solicitor in October 2020.

“I am excited to join BLM and work with an expanding team of experts in defence litigation. In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar and painting.”
